Anticoagulation (Warfarin) clinic
Patients on Warfarin are monitored by the practice nurse in the clinic held on a Wednesday morning.
(including HGV, BUPA claims, pre-employment medical, and insurance claims)
This is arranged by the receptionist who can tell you the fee involved.
The flu clinics are run mainly in September, October and November each year. If you are 65 or over you automatically qualify for an influenza immunisation. If you feel you are in any of the “at risk” groups, please contact the practice for details.
Minor Surgery Clinic
The practice has a minor surgery clinic held on the last Friday of every month and is run by Dr. Cairns. The GPs will refer you to this service as required.
Family Planning Clinic
The practice holds a family planning clinic for insertion of coils and implants for contraceptive purposes. This is held on the first Thursday morning of each month and is run by Dr. Jewell and Mhairi, Practice Nurse.
Insurance Lines and Sick Notes
These are not issued by a doctor during the first week of incapacity. Self-certificate forms are available from your employer. No medical certificates can be issued without consultation with the doctor.

The practice nurse offers general health advice, cervical screening and advice on breast examination. The practice actively approach all women in the appropriate age groups to offer this service.
If you are not being seen regularly at the surgery, please ask for a health check by the practice nurse.
We run this clinic monthly with the doctor and this can be arranged with reception.
Mothers and babies can attend the health visitor for advice and weight checks at the health centre.
